I love the rhythm of the waves
That ebb and flood upon the sand,
As constant as the TLC
That we receive from God's own hand.
He's there for us each time we call
On Him in times of deep despair,
To give us strength to carry on
When we feel that no one will care.
He's there to celebrate with us
When joy attempts to burst our seams;
He is the friend who's always there
Encouraging our hopes and dreams.
He's there when we are feeling sad,
Caught up in worries of the day -
Yes, God is there when e'er we ask,
If we but take the time to pray.
He's there to share each joy and tear -
The best friend you shall ever know.
There is no soul God does not love
If only you will to Him go.
Yes, like the waves that endlessly
Flow rhythmically upon the shore,
God's love is for eternity;
He'll be your friend forevermore.
