Autumn

 

 Amber, crimson, russet, gold,

Foliage colors now unfold.

Bright the sky and crisp the air,

Signs of Autumn everywhere.

 

Orange pumpkins in the field,

Harvest shows a lavish yield.

Roadside stands are quite a treat

Laden with good things to eat.

 

Scarlet sumac are ablaze

All along the country ways;

Goldenrod and asters, too,

Lend their charm for us to view.

 

Autumn calls the heart to praise

For the bounty of Fall days,

For the beauty we behold

When the leaves turn red and gold.
