God stands by you to help you
When trouble comes your way.
He stands by you to help you
At any hour of the day.

God stands by you to guide you
When you are in distress.
He stands by you to guide you
And bring you happiness.

God stands by you to lead you
And show you wrong from right.
He stands by you to lead you
And be your guiding light. 

God stands by you most steadfast
Through sorrow and despair.
God stands by you awaiting
