Christmas Reflection

I hope my heart has heard the song

The shepherd heard that night.
I hope my heart has found the star
The Wise Men kept in sight.
Then maybe it will ind its way
To the quiet manger too,
So the heart can kneel in worship,
Bringing gifts sincere and true.
My heart can bring no wealth of gold,
Nor perfumes rich and sweet;
But let it bring humility
And lay it at His feet.
It may bring loyalty and truth,
With love wrapped all around;
Then, having looked upon the Child,
Rejoice with gladness sound.
For shepherd went upon their way,
Rejoicing loud and clear.
They spread good tidings so
That my heart, too, might hear,
