The woods, ablaze with Autumn tints,
Are gay and colorful as chintz
As trees stand on display today
In Fall's new fashionable array.
The aspen dons a golden shawl,
The maple trees are dressed for Fall
In gowns of vivid crimson hue,
Bedazzling all within their view.
The pines and firs in emerald green
Lend their enchantments to the scene
While red-gold leaves swirl all around,
Then softly carpet all the ground.
Fall's beauty stretches far and wide
Across October's countryside.
I watch, spellbound, as Nature weaves
Bright tapestries of tinted leaves.
