My Quest

I do not seek glory, Lord,

nor do I seek wealth or fame,

and what little good I do,

I do, Lord, in Thy name.

There are lost and lonely souls

who cannot find their way,

but a bit of love and kindness

could help them through each day.

Please let me be Thy messenger,

and all I'll ever ask of Thee -

is to save a little place

in heaven - just for me.

I shall try to earn that place.

Such has always been "my quest,"

I'll do the very best I can,

and to Thee Lord, leave the rest.
