God directs us in His word
To spend time alone in prayer.
When we sincerely call His name
He's always waiting there,
Ready to listen to our plea
And to comfort our broken heart.
He gives us guidance for each task.
Whenever we draw apart
From others and our daily cares,
And give Him our rapt attention.
He frees us from our worries,
And eases all pent-up tension.
He soothes each hurt we suffer
With His healing balm.
He anoints us with His oil of love,
And leaves us serene and calm.
