It Will Cost You Something

 

It will cost you something to follow God;

To leave old ways behind.

It will cost you something to read is Word;

To be renewed in mind.

 

It will cost you something to take your stand.

It will cost you something to pray.

It will cost you something to seek His Will,

And do it, day by day.

 

But you'll gain a deeper love of God

And for your neighbor, too.

You'll gain a heart that will forgive

As God's forgiven you.

 

It will cost you something to follow God,

And wear the Saviour's name.

It will mean you must give up a lot,

But there's a lot to gain.
