Sandcastles

 

I learned a needed lesson

At the shore one summer day

As I watched the little children

Building sandcastles at their play.

It is wise to build for heaven

For life's tides ebb and flow,

Earth's treasures are not lasting

We must one day let them go.

But the good deeds of the blessed

To the needy of the earth

Will please our Heavenly Father

And have eternal worth.
