The world may take away from me
My money or my gold,
The riches that I might have had,
Or treasures I may hold.
My substance may be squandered and
New wealth not be accrued;
I may have missed the chance from which
Prosperity ascends,
But I'll be happy anyhow
Can I but keep some friends.
