Indigo Eve

The sky's a shade of indigo,

The moon, a paler blue.

Stars shimmer with a sliver glow,

For evening clouds are few.

While gazing at this darkened sky,

I watch an owl's arrow flight

Add a touch of simple beauty

To this quiet winter night.
