Texture of My Soul

 

 May the texture of my soul

Be as fine as it can be;

May it be the kind of texture

That greatly pleases Thee.

May not a thread of coarseness

Be any part of it,

But only finest woven threads

That for my King are fit.

 

May the texture of my soul

Be as Thou would have it be;

May it e'er be interwoven

With threads of purity.

Threads of faith, forgiveness, love,

Humbleness of mind;

Then may the texture of my soul

Be fully holy-lined.
