As Summer Bids Farewell

Summer must have slipped away
I saw  a leaf fall down,
In slowest kind of disarray
It softly touched the ground.

There seems to be a hint of gold
emblazoned here and there,
still on a tree of loveliness
of green still lingers fair.

As summer bids a fond farewell
In colors bright and bold,
excitement seems to fill the air
and beauty to behold.

And once again in majesty
of colors that are rare,
God hold the autumn in His hand
paints beauty everywhere.
