Unheralded

Unheralded, in sweeping tides,
The court of goldenrod arrives.
Along the roadsides, up the lanes,
It conquers land, then lays claim
To vases, jugs and windowsills,
Full flowering as it spills
Into the heart, takes full command
When crowning a small child's hand.
