Torrid months with skies of blue,
When summer reigns supreme
I bask in golden sunshine,
An answer to a dream.
The garden's in full bloom now
As all the countryside,
Sweet, abundant, rich, and green,
Sings out with joy and pride.
Bright laughter of the children
Is heard throughout the day,
As they enjoy each hour
Before it slips away.
I love to watch the sunset
And fireflies brightly glow;
The air is filled with magic
When evening breezes blow.
My heart is free and happy,
And life is so sublime,
As each new day embraces
The good old summertime.
When summer reigns supreme
I bask in golden sunshine,
An answer to a dream.
The garden's in full bloom now
As all the countryside,
Sweet, abundant, rich, and green,
Sings out with joy and pride.
Bright laughter of the children
Is heard throughout the day,
As they enjoy each hour
Before it slips away.
I love to watch the sunset
And fireflies brightly glow;
The air is filled with magic
When evening breezes blow.
My heart is free and happy,
And life is so sublime,
As each new day embraces
The good old summertime.
